Product Description
My research tells me that this fabulous silk top hat was made around 1896-7, when the hatters Norton & Son of Hereford, were on no. 8 Broad Street, they were hatters with Royal warrant.
The hat size is a UK 57-7 and the crown is 6inch tall, it is truly beautiful and I don't think the photos show the actual shape it has a beautiful curve to the brim and a silk band with a bow.
Please note that top hats are rigid hats therefore the size should be one up from your usual hat size e.g. If you are size 7 in a soft hat then we advice you to go for a 7 ⅛ in a top hat, however sometimes you can get a hat that was made for someone with the exact head shape as yours but rare. If the hat is too big you can pad it but if is too small you can not stretch it.
Condition: A very small moth damage to the top of the brim and under the brim at the front. All in all very good vintage condition considering it's age.
Please note that if we don't mention stain or damage is because we could not find them we do apologise if we miss any major defects however we will be happy to give full refund.
