This vintage silk top hat was made, I believe in the 1920's by Christy's.
The hat size is a UK 56-6⅞ and the crown is 5½ inch tall, and it has a 1½ inch wide wool band, the brim is quite straight but this was the style the person asked for when had it made.
Please note that top hats are rigid hats therefore the size should be one up from your usual hat size e.g. If you are size 7 in a soft hat then you will need a 7 ⅛ in a top hat, however sometimes you can get a hat that was made for someone with the exact head shape as yours but rare. If the hat is too big you can pad it but if is too small you can not stretch it.
Condition: Very good vintage condition considering it's age there's some silk pile missing on the top edge but all in all good.
